Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – 565 Calories

  • 130g chicken breast, skinless
  • Small burger bun (60g)
  • 50g buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 pump of spray oil
  • 1 tostada, ground into breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Pinch dry herbs
For the coleslaw 
  • 100g red cabbage, finely sliced
  • 40g onion, finely sliced
  • Small handful coriander, roughly chopped
  • 20g mayo, light
  • 20g avocado, sliced 
  • Lime juice to taste
  • Salt + pepper

  1. Put the chicken between 2 pieces of baking paper and use a heavy object to bash the thicker part until it’s even
  2. In a small bowl, mix the tostada breadcrumbs, onion and garlic powder, salt, pepper and dried herbs together
  3. Place the chicken in the breadcrumbs and turn over to coat, spray with the oil and press the remaining breadcrumb mixture on
  4. Cook chicken in pre heated air fryer for 15 minutes at 400 fahrenheit
  5. Meanwhile, combine the ingredients together for the slaw and season to taste
  6. 2 minutes before the chicken is cooked, take it out and dip into the buffalo hot sauce on both sides then finish cooking
  7. Toast the bun then serve the chicken on top with the slaw, avocado and a little extra hot sauce


  • Chicken could be changed for fish
  • The bun could be replaced for a salad to reduce calories
