Banana & Chocolate French Toast – 401 Calories

Ingredients

  • 90g banana, ripe
  • 1 tsp cocoa
  • 30g egg white
  • 5g maple syrup
  • 70ml almond milk
  • 80g sourdough bread (2 thin slices)
  • 15g chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Spray oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the milk with the egg white, maple syrup, vanilla & cinnamon
  2. In a separate bowl, mash half the banana with the cocoa
  3. Spray the oil in a pan and start to pre heat
  4. Meanwhile, dip the bread in the milk mixture and turn then fill one slice with the banana mixture and most of the chocolate chips, reserving a few then put the other piece on top
  5. Fry over a medium low heat for 1-2 minutes each side
  6. Slice the remaining banana and serve on top of the French toast with the remaining chocolate chips

NOTES

  • Try to use ripe bananas as they’re much sweeter
