Spaghetti Bolognaise – 410 Calories

Ingredients

  • 450 grams ground beef 95/5% meat to fat ratio
  • 100 grams onion diced small
  • 80 grams carrot diced small (1 small carrot)
  • 400 grams canned tomatoes
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 260 grams spaghetti or other pasta
  • 15 grams parmesan cheese grated, optional

Instructions

  1. Fry beef in oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until browned
  2. Add carrots and onions to beef, season with salt, fry for 2 minutes
  3. Add garlic, fry for 20 seconds
  4. Add tomatoes, broth and herbs, mix well, cover with a lid and cook for 30-40 minutes over medium low heat
  5. 10 minutes before beef is ready, cook pasta in salted water
  6. Drain pasta and mix with the sauce, season to taste and serve with a little Parmesan on top

NOTES

  • This can be eaten in the moment or stored in the fridge as meal prep for 3-4 days
  • You can serve with a side of roasted vegetables for extra nutrients
  • The bolognese sauce can be made in bigger batches and frozen in individual portions and used within a month
